Children’s Pathway Ministry
Weekly classes are held during the worship service, which begins at 10 AM. Classes are meeting inside, therefore, masks are required to be worn by both the volunteers and the children.
If you’re a new family at Grace Chapel, we’d like to welcome you! Email Lisa Fisk @ lfisk@graceEPC.org, or text 248-496-3233, so we can help you get connected in our Children’s Pathway Ministry classes.
Lightening Bugs ~ Ages 0-35 Months “This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine.” – Matthew 5:15, NLT
In the nursery we show the love of Jesus through one-on-one attention, playtime, music, and stories. We help provide the foundation for a life-long relationship with Christ and the church.
Little Lights ~ Ages 3 years old – Kindergarten
“The teaching of your word gives light, so even the simple can understand.” – Psalm 119:130, NLT
In this class we share the light of the Lord by introducing the Bible as the word of God and discovering together that all can pray to Him. We also worship through music, crafts and play.
Lamplighters – 1st grade – 6th Grade “In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” – Matthew 5:16, NLT
In the elementary classes we help build confidence and trust in Christ by digging deeper into the word of God and learning how to apply it to our lives. We share praise and pray for each other, and spend time in fellowship together with the Lord and each other.
Pathway has begun using a new children’s curriculum called The Gospel Project for Kids: “a Christ-centered, chronological journey through Scripture. When kids truly experience the gospel, their hearts are transformed.” This curriculum comes complete with teacher guides and support resources along with bible story videos, lessons, and activity packs. The Gospel Project for Kids is available in multiple delivery formats (including an app which parents or children can download) allowing us to move seamlessly between a classroom and online format throughout the year. PATHWAY CHILDREN’S MINISTRY TEAM: Lisa Fisk (Lead), Lori Ghena, Ann Hinterman, Patrice Ladd and Deb Yanke.
Going through a Child Protection class and background check is required for anyone working with children and youth at Grace Chapel. This class is easy to attend and we can work with your schedule. See Marchetta Nabozny with any questions. The Pathway team would also like to say a special thank you to all of our volunteers who continue to pour their hearts, time and talents into our children’s Pathway ministry! If you’re interested in volunteering, please contact Lisa Fisk at lfisk@graceEPC.org.
