Fall 2012

Fall 2012

The Christian as Citizen –Leaders: Mike Teachman and Ron Webber (Sundays, Sept 9 to December 16) (Room 7)

We are here. The Sovereign God has placed us here purposely. He placed us in our family, in our community at Grace Chapel, in Southeast Michigan, in the United States, on this planet for His specific ‘holy’ purposes. Where we claim our citizenship and how we live it out reflects on our relationship with Him.

This class will challenge us to realize the foundation of ‘holy’ relationship, gain a better understanding of living it out in our Judeas, Samarias, and the uttermost parts, and remind us of our resources as we attempt to live as salt and light where we find ourselves.

Your Bible Doesn’t Matter…or does it? Leader – Roy Yanke (Sundays, 6 weeks – Sept 9 to Oct 14)

There are many pressures today, both inside and outside the church, to minimize the importance of the Scriptures in our relationship with God and dismiss it’s claim as truth. This class will address questions such as, “Why read the Bible?”, What if family and friends tell me that how I understand it is just ‘my opinion’?” “ How does it make any difference in my life?” “What if I don’t believe all of it?”.

Lord, Is It Warfare? Teach Me To Stand – Leader: French Waller (Wednesdays, September 12 – November 28, 7-9 pm at Grace Chapel or Thursdays, September 13 – November 29, 6:30 – 8:30 pm at Bellenir Home)

Once you become a Christian, you enter a war zone. The problem is, you may not even realize it. But that’s about to change. Lord, Is It Warfare? will equip you to recognize and understand the spiritual warfare that is inevitable for those who follow the Lord Jesus Christ. You’ll learn all the battle tactics and devices of your adversary, Satan. And you’ll discover Scriptural ways to overcome the enemy by turning to Christ, who loves you and offers you all the strength, wisdom, and power you need for victory.
