1. Read Philippians 3:1-14. How does our effort fit with what God has already accomplished in our lives through Jesus Christ?

2. Could you ask someone to follow your example as Paul does in v. 17?

3. Describe the kind of person who is an “enemy of Christ.”

4. In verse 19 Paul lists four characteristics of one who is an enemy of Christ. What are they? What does each of these statements mean?

5. What does it mean to be a citizen of America or Canada (or wherever your citizenship is)? How does this translate to your understanding of verse 20?

6. Why does Paul “eagerly await a savior?”

7. Citizenship carries with it certain responsibilities. Explain what that looks like based upon Philippians 4:1-3.
